DO STARTUPS ONLY SOUND GOOD ON PAPER?

L et's face it; we've all heard about start-up success stories with people barely 3-5 years older than us becoming millionaires. We've all introspected for hours and hours, later being woken up with a tight slap to the reality called life from the fantasy land we were forming. These stories are meant to be 'inspiring' and 'motivating' for the public and shows like , 'Shark Tank India' are further promoting that idea by inviting entrepreneurs to share their ideas and get funding. But telecasting it on live TV has its own agendas. What good will it do for the participants? They will get publicity. What good will it do for the public? I don't know; maybe it will motivate them to get their asses up? Whilst keeping it down to make sure the show gets as much TRP as possible? C'mon, everyone knows the motivation and inspiration part is just plain bull-crap. There's no denying that. It just wants to k

EYEGLASSES, VISION AND THE TRUTH

Image
M ajor tragedy struck my life a few weeks ago; my ophthalmologist handed me my file, with a wicked grin on his face and said, "Congratulations, you will now have to wear glasses!". I felt like punching him hard in the face. I apologize if I missed the joke, but was there anything to be happy about  realizing I would have to carry a burden over my nose 24/7 for about 5-6 years?(i.e. until I get it operated at around 21. But I'm 16 currently, so it's a long way home). Worse, I had to go to a vacation spot for about a week. The only part where God spared me was the terrible eyedrop routine; I was advised to only put them when I felt irritated. You can hit me with a lash and I won't twitch but try to put a drop in my eye and watch how the world trembles along with me.                                                              For a few days I was too concerned about whether I would be able to preserve my eyes under -8D(Diopter. SHOULD WE BE WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE?

Image
Imagine. You're in a room filled with soothsayers of all kinds; the guy with the long, grey hair and beard who claims to be as old as the mountains, the chap from down the street who just got his unofficial degree in future-telling(after getting fired from work), the serial-killer-turned-good-because-something-changed-his-life guy. Basically every type of person you can think of who has the caliber to do such a job(I'd say it's more in the freelancing ballpark. But who cares as long as you're earning more than the average Dick and Harry? Or even Buffet?). Whom will you give the pleasure of deciding your future(predicting the stars in other words)? Them or you? Did they just stumble upon some broken cracks in reality exposing a fourth dimension that had a mental time travel machine left abandoned by some 22nd century robot? Yeah, no. They probably don't even have an idea of what's gonna happen to themselves.(Next time you meet one of t

REASON OF EXISTENCE AND HUMAN PSYCHE (NOT A COMMENTARY)

Image
What happened to me? Why did it happen to me? What will happen to me? Why me? Why do I exist?                              To be or not to be?                              These questions, while remaining unanswered, have been raised by many philosophers and thinkers, and have been pondered upon since many centuries. While some may think that we might just stumble upon the lost and last piece of this puzzle, it would be like stumbling upon a polar bear in a chicken coop.                              Being completely honest, there is no real answer to this question. But there is an explanation for why these questions arise in our minds; unpredictable human psyche. And the fact that we are the only beings who question their own existence proves this. Have you ever seen a lion, midway of completing his deer (no offence to all deer reading this), think about why he killed it, and instead didn’t trap it in a cage, let it

THE INTERNET IS DECEIVING YOU!(GRAVITY EDITION)

Image
See this guy on the left? Oh yeah, that's old jolly Isaac Newton. This man's regarded famously as the discoverer of gravity. Note it. he did not invent it.         WARNING! Grammar advice.  Discovery is the finding of an unknown and existing phenomenon or thing. While invention is the devising of some unknown as well as non-existing thing.         The laws of motion and all that kind of stuff which is literally harassing the hell out of children today was brought before the society by this demon.         Dear people, if there is any kind of thought passing your mind which includes me teaching you some cheap tricks to learn gravity and laws of motion in 5 seconds, please stop it. I am here to tell a truth. A truth which was overshadowed by the civilizations for decades, ignored by the scientists for centuries and unnoticed to the world for a millennium HE                 DID NOT DISCOVER GRAVITY FIRST. ( YES,  YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY) See this man on the
